Primary Information
Pharmacological effect. Possesses antimicrobial activity in regard to gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Indications to application. Pyo-inflammatory, wound infection, bacterial dysentery.
Way of application and dosage. During suppurative-inflammatory processes externally in the form of water solution (1:5 000), alcohol solution (1:1 500) and 0.2% cream. In acute bacterial dysentery assign inside after eating at 0.1 g 4-5 times a day in
the course of 5-6 days. Higher doses for adults inside: single 0.1 g daily, 0.5 g.
A side effect. In some cases, dermatitis. The ingestion loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, allergic rashes, long-term use can cause neuritis.
Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the derivative of nitrofuran. Inside designate with caution in violation of the kidney.
The form of the issue. Powder; tablets of 0.02 g for outdoor use, in a package of 10 pieces; tablets 0.1 g for internal use, in a package of 12 pieces; ointment 0.2% in a package of 25 g; protective paste in the package for 1 kg.
Storage conditions. List B. In a cool place, protected from light.
Shelf-life. Powder - 9 years; ointment and tablets for internal use - 4 years; pills for outdoor use - 5 years.
